If you need to access the starter generator, governor and transaxle on the gas car, or the motor control unit and vital electrical components on the electric car, you have the advantage of the largest access panel in the business. Open it up and make it happen.

Yamaha offers six 8-volt or eight 6-volt battery configurations to best fit your needs. The standard six 8-volt configuration provides dependable power that is less expensive to maintain. For courses that need extra range or for private car customers living in golf car communities that use their car to travel about town, the eight 6-volt configuration provides as much as 33% more range.

There’s a reason we call it “Genius.” A common PDA with an infrared wireless connection allows for communication with the motor control unit on The Drive®. In addition, it enables customization of the speed and regenerative braking, using 25 settings to match your course and terrain. It stores and displays battery and vehicle data such as AMP hours, miles/rounds as well as diagnostic and troubleshooting.

We’re the only golf car manufacturer that designs and builds our own charger. Weighing in at just over 10 lbs., it’s compact and light, uses less power out of the wall, and doesn’t hum. It’s solid state Field Effect Transistor (FET) design is completely electronic, not transformer-based like traditional chargers. It communicates and stores charging information with The Drive® motor control unit, and it won’t overcharge.

Steering and suspension have been designed to be geometrically correct which not only provides optimal turning radius but also helps protect turf.

Steering this nimble and responsive was once found only on high-performance sports cars. Our version is permanently greased with sealed bearings and is virtually maintenance free.
